Team-Head Legal Entities / Client Data Management Office

J. Safra Sarasin seeks a Manager to lead the Legal Entities team within the Client Data Management Office, overseeing client documentation, team leadership, and process improvement in a private banking environment.

This position involves directing the Legal Entities team inside the Client Data Management Office. The primary purpose is to manage the review and processing of client data and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness from onboarding through the entire client lifecycle while supporting digital transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of Client Data Officers focused on legal entity matters.
• Oversee the review and processing of new account applications to maintain operational efficiency.
• Serve as the main advisor for Relationship Managers regarding account opening protocols and missing documentation.
• Coordinate between Front Office, Legal, Compliance, and IT departments to align stakeholder interests.
• Drive projects that enhance internal processes, tools, and documentation standards in accordance with CDB regulations.
• Facilitate the transition from paper-based files to digital onboarding systems.
• Manage static client data throughout its lifecycle.
• Resolve escalated client issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Build a comprehensive understanding of the bank’s products, services, and internal workflows.

Requirements

• Completion of a banking apprenticeship or an equivalent university degree.
• Minimum of five years of experience in Private Banking, ideally as an Onboarding Specialist or Compliance Officer.
• Expert knowledge of CDB regulations, particularly regarding Legal Entities, AML, FATCA/QI, and CRS.
• Fluent proficiency in both English and German.

• Strong IT affinity and prior experience working with the Avaloq platform.
