Coopers Group AG seeks a Mid-level Test Analyst for a fully remote role supporting a financial services client in Zurich. The position requires ISTQB Advanced certification and strong expertise in manual and automated testing processes.
This position supports a client operating within the financial services sector, headquartered in Zurich. The role is structured as a fully remote contract, allowing the analyst to manage testing activities from a distance while collaborating closely with development teams and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to estimate effort for both manual and automated testing initiatives.
- Develop and update test cases aligned with user stories and business requirements.
- Organize and prepare test data necessary for functional and non-functional testing scenarios.
- Perform manual test executions and record results, including the documentation of any defects found.
- Track, analyze, and document defects in coordination with development teams and business units.
- Evaluate test coverage levels and pinpoint areas for process improvement.
- Assist in selecting and preparing test cases for automation efforts.
- Identify potential risks and prioritize testing tasks based on those assessments.
- Generate test reports that outline progress, quality metrics, and associated risks.
- Provide guidance and advice to business departments regarding testing methodologies and activities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in software testing, covering test analysis, design, execution, and defect management.
- Possession of the ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level – Test Analyst (CTAL-TA) certification.
- Practical experience using test management and defect tracking platforms, such as Jira or ALM.
- Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Foundational knowledge or initial experience with test automation, preferably using Tosca.
- Ability to communicate in German.
