Visitor Coordinator

Pfadibewegung Schweiz seeks a volunteer Visitor Coordinator to manage guest experiences and operations for the Roverway event on-site in Switzerland.

Positioned within the Department of Volunteer & Visitor Operations, this role is dedicated to ensuring that day visitors, families, partner organizations, and other guests feel welcome and have a positive experience during the Roverway. The coordinator acts as the primary point of contact for all incoming guests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete visitor journey, from initial registration through reception to final farewell.
• Handle all administrative tasks related to visitor check-in and check-out procedures.
• Staff and manage the main information desk to assist guests.
• Organize and coordinate guided tours and facility inspections.
• Monitor and regulate access to ensure security and order.
• Coordinate the available childcare services for attending families.

Requirements

• A strong motivation and willingness to commit to this volunteer role for several years.
• Proactive drive to design and implement operational processes.
• A genuine interest in interacting with people and a strong service-oriented mindset.
• The ability to maintain a clear overview of ongoing projects and tasks.
• Proficiency in English and/or at least one other national language.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in guest care, visitor management, or event coordination.
