The company seeks a Senior Engineering Change Manager for Service in Quartino, CH. This hybrid role ensures Agile teams consider product serviceability during change notifications and supports the Global Service Engineering team.
This position sits within a newly formed Service Engineering team at the company's Quartino site. The primary purpose is to ensure that change notifications from Agile teams properly account for product serviceability. The role actively contributes to the Global Service Engineering group by analyzing, tracking, and approving engineering change notices while providing technical support.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new engineering change notices to identify potential impacts on service operations.
- Keep an updated log of change notices that could affect service functions.
- Facilitate discussions with service stakeholders to review change impacts and recommend adjustments to change leaders.
- Monitor change notice updates based on stakeholder agreement and approve those that meet service requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of approved change notices by the service team.
- Deliver technical assistance and resolve issues within your area of expertise, either remotely or on-site.
- Proactively assist change managers to enhance the accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness of service-related aspects in change notices.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree, diploma, or higher academic qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Possess at least five years of experience in comparable roles, or ten years in UPS development or service positions.
- Demonstrate familiarity with the product lines produced in Quartino.
- Show experience with change management procedures and associated documentation.
- Be proficient in using the Windchill change management system.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, at a B2 level or above.
