Accountant (m/f/d)

Nexova AG seeks a Junior Accountant in Basel to manage client accounts, prepare financial statements, and handle payroll in a fully remote, digital fiduciary environment.

As the first fully remote fiduciary firm in Switzerland, Nexova AG provides digital accounting, payroll, and tax advisory services to startups and SMEs. This position allows you to take on real accounting responsibilities immediately while collaborating with experienced Client Advisors, with the opportunity to advance to a Junior Client Advisor role over time.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage client accounts, including handling accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare interim and annual financial statements according to OR and draft tax returns for individuals and legal entities.
• Process VAT returns, perform annual reconciliations, and manage social insurance declarations.
• Oversee payroll and personnel administration for client mandates, while supporting Client Advisors with daily client management tasks.
• Evaluate current workflows, propose improvements, and contribute to the evolution of digital fiduciary services.

Requirements

• Completed commercial apprenticeship with a focus on fiduciary or accounting, or currently pursuing such a qualification.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of professional experience in fiduciary or accounting roles.
• Strong digital literacy and familiarity with standard fiduciary and accounting software.
• Fluent German and solid English communication skills to interact with international clients.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Business Central is considered a plus.
