Particle Measuring Systems AG seeks an Accounting Specialist for its Wattwil location to manage financial operations across Switzerland, Austria, and Germany on a six-month fixed-term basis.
This position is responsible for handling the core monthly accounting cycle for the Swiss, Austrian, and German branches. The specialist will manage accounts receivable and payable, process bank transactions, maintain general ledgers, and ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation for the region.
Responsibilities
- Execute monthly accounting duties, including posting entries for accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank transactions, and general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile supplier and customer statements to ensure data accuracy.
- Review and process travel expense reports submitted via the Certify system for entities in Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
- Manage Bank of America credit card accounts for the Swiss, Austrian, and German branches.
- Prepare and support the quarterly VAT declaration process.
- Assist in preparing and verifying various accounts and performing monthly SignOff reconciliations for Switzerland and Austria.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records.
- Generate financial reports and provide commentary as requested by management.
Requirements
- Native-level proficiency in German.
- Fluent command of English.
- Professional-level expertise in Microsoft Excel.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with the IFS ERP system is preferred, though knowledge of other ERP platforms will also be considered.
