Julius Bär seeks a Senior Application Responsible & Integrator for SaaS Trading Solutions in Zürich. This 12-month contract role focuses on managing strategic fund management applications, integrating external SaaS providers, and ensuring technical stability within the Markets Technology division.
Within the Global Products & Solutions division, this position serves as the central link between the bank and external technology vendors. The incumbent acts as the primary technical owner for strategic fund management and investment analytics platforms, ensuring that third-party solutions align with internal service quality standards, security protocols, and business objectives. The role requires bridging the gap between complex external SaaS offerings and the bank’s internal technology landscape.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the end-to-end owner for strategic fund management and investment analytics applications, including IT service ownership.
- Oversee the technical and functional integration of applications, managing interfaces with market data providers, portfolio systems, reporting tools, and data warehouses.
- Act as the main liaison for internal stakeholders across Fund Management, Investment Controlling, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams.
- Manage external SaaS vendor relationships, focusing on service quality, SLA compliance, issue resolution, and business alignment.
- Coordinate application changes, releases, upgrades, and lifecycle management to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions by collaborating with architects, developers, users, and vendors.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including application inventories, interface specifications, operational procedures, and architecture records.
- Monitor system health, data quality, and operational processes to proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure accurate data integration, reconciliation, and processing across connected systems to maintain consistency.
- Support audits and regulatory compliance by adhering to security, risk, and operational standards.
- Manage user access, entitlement reviews, and application security controls in accordance with corporate policies.
- Perform hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and scripting tasks as needed.
- Review vendor services, licensing models, and cost allocations to drive efficiency and optimize operating expenses.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing fund management capabilities, data quality, and the application ecosystem.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience as an Application Owner, IT Service Owner, or Application Manager within the financial services sector.
- Proven experience in managing SaaS solutions and third-party vendor relationships.
- Strong understanding of application integration, data flows, APIs, file-based interfaces, and cloud platforms.
- Prior experience working with investment, portfolio, and fund data.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management, including incident, change management, and operational governance.
- Hands-on technical proficiency in SQL, scripting, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Experience operating in regulated financial environments with a focus on security and compliance.
- Fluent business-level English (C1/2 level).

- Understanding of Asset Management, Fund Administration, Alternative Investments, Private Markets, Hedge Funds, or Multi-Asset investment processes.
