Senior Technical Consultant SAP Integration

Sika AG seeks a Senior Technical Consultant for SAP Integration in Zurich. The role focuses on cloud adoption, architecture design, and team mentorship within the SAP Technology department.

This position sits within the SAP Technology team in Zurich, reporting directly to the SAP Integration lead. The primary purpose of the role is to advance the company’s cloud adoption journey, specifically within the integration domain, by designing robust solutions and guiding technical delivery.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain integration frameworks utilizing SAP Integration Suite, SAP PO/PI, API Management, and associated tools.
• Partner with functional and technical stakeholders to establish integration needs and guarantee consistent end-to-end solutions.
• Maintain the stability of integration interfaces and troubleshoot complex operational issues promptly.
• Promote the use of integration best practices, security protocols, and performance optimization methods.
• Mentor colleagues by offering technical advice and conducting reviews of project deliverables.
• Assist project delivery teams with integration tasks across the entire system development lifecycle.
• Keep up to date with emerging SAP integration technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of eight years of professional experience with SAP integration technologies.
• Proven hands-on expertise in SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration and API Management.
• Proficiency in developing User Defined Functions (UDFs) using Java or Groovy.
• Practical experience with SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Orchestration).
• Solid knowledge of OData, REST, and SOAP API standards.
• Strong understanding of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Familiarity with IDoc, RFC, ALE, EDI, and other standard SAP integration protocols.
• Fluent command of the English language.

Nice to have

• Experience with event brokers, particularly SAP Event Mesh (AEM experience is beneficial).
• Additional language skills in Spanish or German.
• Holding an SAP certification in Integration Suite or a comparable credential.
