Idorsia seeks an Associate Director for Market Access and Public Affairs in DACH to lead strategy implementation, pricing negotiations, and stakeholder engagement in Allschwil.

This position is responsible for coordinating and executing the company’s access strategy within a defined therapeutic area. The role ensures that product value propositions are locally adapted to achieve optimal pricing and reimbursement outcomes while driving the development of country-specific strategies for the DACH region.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of access strategies, including project oversight, dossier preparation, timeline adherence, and risk mitigation.
  • Adapt product value propositions to local markets to secure favorable pricing and reimbursement conditions.
  • Act as the company representative in interactions with external agencies, pharmaceutical associations, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Contribute to the conceptual design and internal processes of country-level Market Access and Public Affairs strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director and cross-functional teams to exchange information and align efforts.
  • Monitor regional policy landscapes and analyze healthcare trends to understand their impact on business objectives.
  • Foster long-term relationships within the DACH organization and with external regional partners.
  • Ensure strict compliance with legal, regulatory, and healthcare standards, promoting a culture of adherence.

Requirements

  • A completed degree in health economics, pharmacy, science, or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least seven years of professional experience in Market Access within the DACH region.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep expertise in Market Access, with mandatory knowledge of the German AMNOG framework.
  • Proven track record in pricing and reimbursement activities across DACH markets, covering both pre-launch and in-market phases.
  • Strong understanding of the German healthcare system and health economic contexts.
  • Awareness of current health policy issues and potential future developments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and taking ownership of specific areas of responsibility.
  • Solid skills in project leadership, project management, and vendor management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, advise, and act as a business partner.
  • Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
