Lonza is seeking a Biotechnologist in Visp, Switzerland, to manufacture medicines through upstream activities while ensuring cGMP compliance and safety.
This position is based in Visp, Switzerland, and focuses on the manufacturing of medicines. The role requires independent execution of upstream processes while maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate and carry out upstream-related tasks independently following established guidelines.
- Ensure safe and accurate work practices that meet cGMP quality standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace, assigned rooms, and storage areas.
- Conduct monitoring, maintenance, and cleaning duties, and document and resolve any facility defects or malfunctions.
- Collaborate actively as a team member in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Completion of professional training or apprenticeship.
- Proficiency in German or English, both spoken and written.
- Demonstrated accuracy in work execution and documentation.
- Strong awareness of safety and quality during task performance.
- Flexibility to work in a 4-shift rotation schedule.
Nice to have
- Background in chemical or pharmaceutical-technical training.
- Training in GMP and/or BICO standards.
