Business Process Engineer

Alpiq Hydro Aare AG seeks a Business Process Engineer in Olten for a hybrid, mid-level role focused on process optimization, ICS coordination, and continuous improvement within the energy sector.

The company is looking for a professional to oversee the documentation, analysis, and enhancement of business processes. This position involves collaborating with process owners to ensure compliance with internal standards, drive optimization projects, and maintain effective performance metrics across the organization's process landscape.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with process owners to document, maintain, and analyze assigned business processes, driving continuous improvement efforts.
• Work with process owners on Internal Control System (ICS) matters, including identifying risks and designing appropriate controls.
• Lead or support projects and initiatives focused on optimizing and transforming business processes.
• Define relevant process performance indicators alongside process owners and stakeholders.
• Promote process effectiveness and efficiency through close cooperation with process owners and stakeholders.
• Ensure all documented processes adhere to Alpiq’s process modelling standards and conventions.
• Ensure the correct integration and consistency of designed processes within the overall Alpiq process landscape.
• Maintain and continuously enhance process documentation in the designated BPM tool.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent higher education
• At least 3 years of professional experience in the energy industry
• Proven experience in business process management, process design and continuous improvement
• Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
• Fluent in English and German, written and spoken
• Strong analytical skills and a pronounced process-oriented mindset
• Can-do mentality combined with a structured, open-minded and detail-oriented working style
