Alpiq AG seeks a Business Process Engineer to support the Business Process Transformation team in Olten, CH. The role involves managing and improving business processes, ensuring compliance with standards, and collaborating with process owners. Hybrid work model, mid-level position.
This position strengthens Alpiq’s Business Process Transformation team by ensuring stability, resilience, and continuous improvement of business processes. The engineer reports to the Head of Business Process Transformation and supports process optimization across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage documentation, maintenance, analysis, and continuous improvement of assigned business processes in collaboration with process owners.
- Coordinate Internal Control System (ICS) topics with process owners, including risk identification and control design.
- Lead and support projects focused on business process optimization and transformation.
- Define process performance indicators with process owners and relevant stakeholders.
- Enhance process effectiveness and efficiency through close cooperation with stakeholders.
- Ensure documented processes follow Alpiq’s process modelling standards and conventions.
- Maintain consistency and integration of processes within Alpiq’s overall process landscape.
- Update and improve process documentation using the designated BPM tool.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent higher education.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the energy industry.
- Proven experience in business process management, design, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with BPMN 2.0 and methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical skills and a process-focused mindset.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and open-minded approach with a proactive attitude.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of French, Spanish, or Italian is beneficial.
