Alpiq AG seeks a Product Manager for Trading and Origination in Olten, CH. The role involves managing the full product life cycle, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring structured product implementation across value chains.
This position is part of Alpiq’s New Product Implementation team, focusing on managing the product life cycle with emphasis on designing new products, ensuring accurate deal representation, and overseeing implementation. It aims to maintain a comprehensive and consistent product offering across Alpiq’s value chains through efficient end-to-end processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire product life cycle, including design, approval, and phase-out for Trading and Origination products
- Work with Front Office and Risk teams to evaluate new product ideas, assessing their potential, costs, and risks
- Coordinate product approval, implementation, testing, and handover to relevant business units
- Support collaboration within the New Product Committee (NPC) and ensure seamless implementation across systems and processes, identifying and resolving gaps
- Improve and maintain the new product approval process
- Lead product management-related projects and initiatives
- Review product documentation and keep the Alpiq Product Catalogue accurate and current
- Chair weekly product implementation meetings and manage communication with internal and external partners for product and service rollouts
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the energy sector in product management, Sales & Origination, Trading, or Risk
- Understanding of energy structured products and standard energy products
- Strong ability to manage stakeholders and work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical mindset with a structured, organized approach and attention to detail
- Fluent in English
Nice to have
- Knowledge of German, French, or Italian is beneficial
