Jet Aviation seeks a Cabin Installation Team Lead in Basel to oversee aircraft cabin completions, manage technical teams, and ensure project delivery within budget and schedule constraints.
This position focuses on the precise construction of functional and elegant aircraft interiors. The successful candidate will serve as a hands-on leader, combining a passion for aviation with technical expertise to guide technicians through complex cabin installation and modification projects.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily morning briefings to establish priorities and assign tasks.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate a group of 5–10 technicians, including managing their daily timesheets.
- Forecast manpower requirements and coordinate resources to match project needs.
- Direct cabin installation processes and determine sequences for part removal and reinstallation.
- Track activities across various shops handling modifications, maintenance, and refurbishment.
- Collaborate with Engineering to resolve technical issues, clarify design drawings, and address discrepancies.
- Attend aircraft status meetings to monitor progress against project milestones.
- Initiate defect reports and ensure the timely procurement of required components.
- Adhere to PR, CMM, OMM, and AMM procedures, ensuring accurate documentation closure in SAP.
- Oversee budget and schedule compliance to guarantee on-time delivery within scope.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in coaching and coordinating teams.
- Solid background in aviation, including deep knowledge of aircraft systems and maintenance standards.
- Project management experience encompassing budget oversight and timeline tracking.
- Proficiency in interpreting CMM, AMM, OMM, engineering drawings, and PR documentation.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP.
- Fluent command of English.
