Jet Aviation seeks a Mid-level Cabinet Maker in Basel to craft high-quality aircraft interiors. The role requires precision woodworking, adherence to technical drawings, and collaboration within a skilled team.
This position plays a key part in designing and building the luxurious cabins of premium aircraft. The Cabinet Maker works directly on-site, transforming technical specifications into custom, high-standard wooden fixtures that define the passenger experience.
Responsibilities
- Apply wood veneers and laminates to aircraft components using professional glue spray equipment to ensure smooth, flawless finishes.
- Cut and shape moldings for both straight and curved surfaces, ensuring precise fit and attention to detail.
- Construct cabinetry units by following 3D models and technical documentation with high accuracy.
- Fit hardware components such as hinges, latches, and drawer slides using a mix of hand tools and workshop machinery.
- Work closely with colleagues to share expertise and maintain top-tier quality standards throughout the production process.
Requirements
- Completion of a cabinetmaking apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience in the field.
- Strong knowledge of materials including hardwoods, veneers, laminates, and lightweight panels.
- Ability to operate computer systems and digital tools effectively in daily tasks.
- Fluency in English at a B1 level or higher.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working on aviation interior projects is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in German and/or French is considered an advantage.
