The company seeks a Junior Central Registry Officer in Geneva to manage client account documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and support process improvements within a hybrid work model.
This position allows a banking professional with solid foundational knowledge to develop specialized expertise in Central Registry operations. The role focuses on maintaining accurate client records while actively contributing to the evolution and efficiency of registry procedures.
Responsibilities
- Process and validate documentation for client account openings, amendments, and closures, ensuring all forms are complete and accurate.
- Manage the client database throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial onboarding to final closure.
- Verify client signatures and maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of files according to data protection standards.
- Digitize and archive client records in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations.
- Determine applicable tax regimes and verify the consistency of AML, tax, and regulatory documentation.
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams regarding risk-flagged documents, account searches, and blocking or unblocking requests.
- Handle hold mail processing and manage e-banking access rights, including creation, renewal, and termination.
- Identify inefficiencies in current procedures and propose actionable improvements to enhance Central Registry operations.
- Guide internal stakeholders on database investigations and registry procedures.
- Participate in user acceptance testing for system developments and cross-functional projects affecting the Central Registry.
Requirements
- CFC in banking or an equivalent qualification.
- Three to five years of experience in Central Registry, client onboarding, or account management within the banking sector.
- Strong understanding of account opening processes for private clients and legal entities.
- Familiarity with Swiss banking regulations and AML frameworks, including LBA, CDB, FATCA, and CRS, with a willingness to expand this knowledge.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to challenge existing processes.
- Meticulous and organized approach, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Fluent proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Mandatory Swiss residency.

- Prior experience with Apsys and CIM systems is considered an advantage.
