The company seeks a mid-level Citrix NetScaler Engineer in Zürich to manage remote access infrastructure, provide 3rd level support, and ensure system security and performance.
This position focuses on the remote access infrastructure built on Citrix NetScaler. The role includes providing third-level support and participating in 24/7 on-call rotations to maintain system availability.
Responsibilities
- Act as the IT Service Owner for the remote access infrastructure based on Citrix NetScaler.
- Configure and optimize NetScaler appliances to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex issues related to Citrix NetScaler.
- Ensure the security of the NetScaler environment by configuring and maintaining security features.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as firmware updates, backups, and log analysis to prevent issues before they occur.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Perform project work and project support.
- Provide 3rd level and 24/7 on-call duty.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- In-depth knowledge of load balancing techniques, content switching, and application delivery controllers.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze logs, identify issues, and resolve complex problems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated personality.
- Higher education in computer science.
- Proven experience with Citrix NetScaler, preferably with versions 12.x or later.
- Basic scripting skills in languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python, and experience with automation tools.
- Relevant certifications, such as Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N) or Citrix Certified Expert - Networking (CCE-N).
Nice to have
- Knowledge in other technologies like Zscaler ZIA & ZPA, 2FA/MFA, PKI and Mailgetway would be a plus.
