CNC Machinist

Bühlergroup seeks a Mid-level CNC Machinist in Owatonna, CH, to independently produce high-quality components from blueprints while collaborating with engineers on production and R&D projects.

This position requires taking full ownership of complex machining tasks to deliver efficient, safe, and high-quality results. The machinist will work autonomously to meet production targets while partnering with experienced engineers on both manufacturing and research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture parts accurately by interpreting technical blueprints.
• Execute independent setups on CNC equipment.
• Adhere strictly to all provided work orders, travelers, and quality protocols.
• Maintain a tidy, safe, and debris-free workspace.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles across all shop activities.
• Identify opportunities to lower production costs.
• Support team development by training colleagues.
• Demonstrate a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Master Cam software or a strong willingness to learn it.
• Capability to read and program using G & M codes at the controller.
• Skill in designing and creating custom fixturing and vise jaws.
