Commercial Controller

Ferrum seeks a Commercial Controller in Schafisheim to consolidate global financial data, analyze margins, and support management decisions for its chemical and pharmaceutical clients.

This position supports Ferrum’s international operations by providing clear financial insights. The role focuses on aggregating data from various subsidiaries to create a unified reporting structure, while also tracking profitability across the entire value chain to aid strategic decision-making for a global clientele in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

Responsibilities

• Aggregate financial information from all subsidiaries into a unified group reporting framework.
• Combine production and cost metrics from manufacturing sites to generate a worldwide view of gross margins.
• Track profitability throughout the value chain, covering everything from manufacturing costs to final pricing.
• Examine revenue, margins, and commercial spending to spot trends and variances.
• Generate monthly reports that serve as the foundation for executive decisions.
• Run data-driven simulations to evaluate new market strategies or shifts in the international business structure.
• Oversee commercial spending against approved budgets to maintain financial discipline.

Requirements

• A university degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Controlling or Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience in business controlling within an industrial setting, demonstrating both technical and financial expertise.
• A solid understanding of the complete value chain, including production, logistics, and sales.
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
• Excellent communication abilities paired with robust analytical thinking.
• A commitment to high standards of data integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting.
• Fluency in both German and English to collaborate effectively with international offices.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
