Consultant – Financial Institutions Consulting

IQVIA AG seeks a Mid-level Consultant for Financial Institutions Consulting in Switzerland. The role involves advising investors on biopharma investments through due diligence, valuation, and strategy work.

This position supports a team that guides investors in the biopharma and life sciences sectors. The consultant will handle commercial due diligence, asset screening, portfolio growth strategies, and exit planning. The work takes place in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment focused on professional development.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects focused on buy-side and sell-side due diligence, valuation of assets or portfolios, and growth strategy formulation.
• Apply consulting methodologies and IQVIA’s proprietary data to address specific client questions and deliver discrete workstreams.
• Tackle strategic and diligence challenges using structured, evidence-based methods, working either independently or within small project teams.
• Produce high-quality outputs by conducting primary and secondary research, extracting analytical insights to support business assessments.
• Act as a core team member or workstream lead, presenting key findings and recommendations to leadership to ensure client satisfaction and relationship growth.
• Support team capability building by contributing to intellectual property, marketing materials, training resources, recruitment efforts, and proposal development.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of professional experience in strategy consulting, M&A, business development, or within a financial institution such as private equity or venture capital.
• Background in advising clients on commercial matters within the biopharma or life sciences industry, with exposure to transaction-related projects like due diligence, valuation, or forecasting.
• Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, including experience overseeing specific workstreams.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, combined with critical thinking and attention to detail, to drive analysis and synthesize findings for client deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including experience with presentations and report writing.
• Solid understanding of current issues and developments in the biopharma and life sciences sectors.
• Demonstrated career progression in consulting or transaction advisory roles.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Legal right to live and work in the recruiting country.

Nice to have

• An MBA is not required but is considered an advantage.
