Sr. Consultant / Manager, Pharma & Life Sciences

IQVIA AG seeks a Senior Consultant or Manager for its Swiss Advisory Services team in Zug. The role focuses on delivering strategic consulting to pharma and life sciences clients.

This position sits within the Swiss Advisory Services team, acting as a trusted partner for life sciences clients. The consultant shapes and executes high-impact engagements, addressing complex strategic and operational challenges while driving client satisfaction and identifying new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams through the design, development, and delivery of client solutions.
• Apply business acumen to identify strategic alternatives and define project approaches.
• Act as the primary liaison for clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Conduct post-engagement follow-ups to verify client satisfaction and gather feedback.
• Foster the creation of intellectual property and reusable assets for future projects.
• Oversee proposal preparation, including bid integrity and necessary modifications.
• Identify and develop new business leads and follow-on work opportunities.
• Provide intellectual leadership and strategic advice to both clients and delivery teams.
• Review and contribute to high-level client reports, presentations, and findings.
• Coach and mentor junior team members to support their professional growth.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in insights, analytics, or consulting within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors.
• Deep expertise in commercial strategy areas such as sales force effectiveness, segmentation, field force sizing, launch excellence, and promotional effectiveness.
• Strong grasp of pharmaceutical industry trends, market challenges, and consulting methodologies.
• Proven track record of leading strategic engagements, managing multiple projects, and delivering results on time and within budget.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities.
• Excellent skills in communication, presentation, facilitation, and business writing.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and executives.
• Experience collaborating effectively within cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
• Capacity to identify business opportunities, develop proposals, and contribute to growth.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland approximately 20–25% of the time.
• Right to live and work in the recruiting country.

• MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• German language proficiency is an advantage.
