The Credit Controller at Richemont in Villars-sur-Glane manages credit activities, customer portfolios, and risk monitoring to support the wholesale business with efficient service and alignment across markets and houses.

This position supports the Regional AP & AR Manager by overseeing all credit-related operations for Richemont's wholesale division. The role focuses on maintaining high efficiency in administrative tasks and customer service while ensuring strict alignment with market and house strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer portfolios according to company credit guidelines and best practices.
  • Address incoming inquiries and contact customers with overdue payments.
  • Monitor credit exposure and limits, assign risk classes, and handle order releases, blocks, and escalations.
  • Process reminders, statements, remittances, and adjust customer master data.
  • Track debtor accounts with aging balances, update SAP with relevant dates and actions, and document non-payment reasons or payment promises.
  • Reconcile debtor accounts, manage clearings, refunds, disputes, and sales deductions.
  • Coordinate with brands and internal departments (sales, logistics, customer service, finance) to resolve customer disputes.
  • Understand and follow internal processes for department stores.
  • Perform daily administrative duties such as handling invoice copies, account histories, and clearing details.
  • Calculate bad debt provisions, apply group rules, and maintain strict documentation.
  • Adhere to audit requirements, maintain AR controls, and adapt to company processes.
  • Ensure alignment across functions including Maisons, cash allocation, master data, contracts, general accounting, controlling, ICS, and AP.
  • Provide metrics, dashboards, and explanations for AR KPI trends to Markets and Maisons.
  • Collaborate with SAP support teams, regional Key Users, or Cash Application to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Fluency in French and English with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to investigate cross-functional business flows.
  • Action-oriented, autonomous, and service-focused approach.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of a third language is an advantage.
