Cross-Portfolio Manager

Roche seeks a Cross-Portfolio Manager in Rotkreuz to lead strategy initiatives and enhance portfolio transparency for Roche Diagnostics through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.

This position focuses on driving portfolio transparency and generating actionable insights to support strategic decision-making within Roche Diagnostics. The role involves leading dedicated strategy initiatives across various customer areas and collaborating with Customer Area Portfolio Managers, Business Analytics, Project Managers, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and clarity in portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Enhance existing portfolio tools and create reports that support strategic management efforts.
• Contextualize individual portfolio decisions within the broader pipeline to ensure high-quality portfolio management.
• Provide a clear overview of critical interdependencies across the portfolio.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to guide portfolio strategy.
• Coach team members, foster skill development, and provide constructive feedback on performance and goal achievement.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, or business.
• Proven ability to influence and present complex strategic topics to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills, with experience in solving complex problems and building quantitative models.
• Ability to distill complex or abstract problems into succinct strategic frameworks and tactical plans.
• Skilled at influencing senior leadership through active listening, excellent communication, and strong facilitation skills.
• Effectively facilitate discussions with business leaders and cross-functional teams to develop insights and drive alignment on strategic decisions.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of work experience in management consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategic development.
• Advanced degree such as a PhD, MD, or MBA.
