Novartis seeks a Pricing & Access Manager in Rotkreuz to develop strategies ensuring sustainable patient access to its products in Switzerland through effective reimbursement and stakeholder collaboration.
This position focuses on creating and executing pricing and reimbursement plans to secure timely and broad availability of Novartis medicines across the Swiss market. Reporting to the Lead Market Access, the role works to remove barriers to patient access while delivering value to the healthcare system and the company. The manager collaborates with internal teams and external partners to align on strategies that support business goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute pricing and reimbursement strategies in coordination with local leadership and global teams.
- Prepare and submit reimbursement applications to national authorities, ensuring high operational standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional groups to secure resources and leadership endorsement for access initiatives.
- Partner with Health Economic Outcome Research (HEOR) to build pharmacoeconomic models that accurately demonstrate product value.
- Contribute early insights to product development, financial planning, and business decision-making processes.
- Identify and fill data gaps by working with HEOR, medical, and market access functions.
- Maintain and update pricing and reimbursement tools and systems to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.
- Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to develop innovative reimbursement solutions.
- Monitor current and future legislation to anticipate business impacts and contribute to industry policy discussions.
Requirements
- A degree in Natural Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Healthcare, Business, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- Full professional proficiency in both English and German.
- Strong analytical capabilities and negotiation skills.
- Ability to interpret and clearly communicate complex scientific and economic concepts.
- Capacity to build trust-based relationships with government officials, health insurers, and other key stakeholders.
Nice to have
- 2-4 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or health insurance sectors.
- Solid understanding of the Swiss healthcare system, regulatory environment, and drug reimbursement processes.
- Proficiency in French.
