Lead Value & Access Switzerland & Austria

Biogen seeks a Manager to lead Value & Access for Switzerland and Austria, focusing on pricing strategies, payer negotiations, and ensuring patient access to its drug portfolio.

As a member of the Leadership Team, this position drives the affiliate’s strategic performance by maximizing value recognition for the product portfolio among payors. The role is critical in securing swift and equitable access to medicines for patients across the region.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Value & Access function for Switzerland and Austria, ensuring alignment with regional goals.
• Create and execute comprehensive pricing and market access strategies for Biogen’s products.
• Conduct negotiations with government authorities to achieve broad reimbursement coverage.
• Oversee strategic life cycle pricing to sustain market access and optimize revenue streams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including health insurers and governmental bodies.
• Act as Biogen’s representative in trade associations and formulate company policy stances.
• Prepare and submit reimbursement dossiers to relevant authorities.
• Coordinate activities within trade associations to increase the company’s influence.
• Ensure prompt reporting of adverse events and technical product complaints.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in economics, law, science, or medicine.
• At least 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or with payers.
• In-depth knowledge of the local healthcare system is required.
• Proven expertise in Government Affairs and Communications.
• Strong ability to network and engage with stakeholders.
• Fluency in both German and English.
