Data Administrator Lead

Solvias seeks a Data Administrator Lead to establish its Data & AI Office. This hands-on role focuses on building data platforms, governance, and automation to transform data into a business asset.

As the inaugural hire for the Data & AI Office, this position serves as a player-coach responsible for constructing the foundational data infrastructure. The individual will directly deliver initial data products while establishing governance frameworks, ensuring that data becomes a reliable asset for decision-making, automation, and AI initiatives across various enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Construct the core enterprise data architecture, including models, pipelines, and integrations linking ERP, LIMS, and CRM systems alongside technology partners.
• Establish and maintain data governance standards, defining ownership, policies, and compliance measures aligned with GxP, ALCOA, and ISO regulations.
• Lead Master Data Management (MDM) efforts to guarantee a single source of truth across all operational systems.
• Manage the Azure Data Platform, overseeing ingestion, transformation, and storage processes within Data Lake and Fabric environments.
• Define and track data quality KPIs, collaborating with business stakeholders to resolve issues and improve accuracy.
• Develop and deploy initial data products, such as datasets and dashboards, for direct business application.
• Identify and implement RPA and automation solutions to minimize manual tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure end-to-end reliability and consistency of data flows between ERP, LIMS, CRM, and portal systems.
• Provide clean, structured, and governed data to support AI and advanced analytics use cases.
• Foster a culture of data ownership and behavioral change across Finance, Operations, QA, and Commercial departments.

Requirements

• Demonstrated history of building data platforms or data functions from the ground up.
• Deep practical expertise with Azure Data Platform components, including Data Lake, Fabric, or Synapse.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• Hands-on experience with API-based system integration.
• Background in implementing Master Data Management and Data Governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with RPA and AI tools such as Power Automate or UiPath.
• Excellent stakeholder management abilities to influence business teams and enforce data accountability.
• A pragmatic, execution-oriented mindset that prioritizes value and speed over perfection.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with high levels of personal accountability.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working in regulated sectors, particularly Pharma, GxP, or ISO-compliant environments.
