AI Platform Architect

Visium seeks a Principal AI Platform Architect in Lausanne, CH, to lead AI and data platform design on Azure. The role requires deep cloud and AI architecture expertise, with a hybrid work model and a focus on scalable, secure solutions.

As a Principal AI Platform Solution Architect at Visium, you will shape the technical foundation for AI and data platforms on Azure, aligning business goals with technical execution. You will serve as a technical leader, guiding innovation and ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of AI and data platforms on Azure
• Establish architecture standards, best practices, and governance for AI solutions
• Assess new AI technologies and incorporate them into the platform roadmap
• Work with stakeholders to convert business needs into technical designs
• Mentor engineering and data teams to enhance technical capabilities
• Ensure AI platforms meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in AI, data, or cloud architecture roles
• In-depth knowledge of Azure AI and data services including Azure ML, Databricks, and Cognitive Services
• Proven ability to design scalable, cloud-native AI solutions
• Strong grasp of AI/ML pipelines, MLOps, and data governance principles
• Hands-on use of Terraform for infrastructure as code and cloud resource management
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for automated, reliable deployment of applications and infrastructure
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, and load balancing
• Familiarity with cloud security practices such as IAM, encryption, and compliance
• Demonstrated success in influencing senior stakeholders on technical direction
• Excellent communication skills and experience guiding technical teams
