Data & Analytics Specialist (Life Sciences)

Eurofins Electric & Electronic Product Testing AG seeks a Data & Analytics Specialist in Bern to build data solutions for Life Sciences clients using Python, SQL, and cloud technologies.

This position supports the Eurofins Professional Scientific Services team by providing data-driven solutions for a client’s Process Science and Technology Operations department. The role merges analytical skills, technical expertise, and Life Sciences knowledge within a collaborative, international setting.

Responsibilities

• Help create and execute a central data strategy, covering governance, quality standards, and specific data solutions.
• Build and deploy analytical tools for processing, analyzing, and visualizing data.
• Create scalable data pipelines and workflows utilizing Databricks and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Maintain and enhance databases, supporting systems, templates, and metadata to guarantee reliable operations.
• Track data quality metrics and work to improve accuracy, consistency, and robustness across all systems.
• Develop automation tools, web applications, and API integrations.
• Participate in local and global projects while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• A degree in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, R, or comparable scripting languages.
• Proven experience in data analysis, data management, and database systems.
• Background in web application development and API integrations.
• Practical experience with Power BI and data visualization best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international project teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Databricks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
