Data Integration Consultant (AMOS)

Swiss AviationSoftware seeks a Data Integration Consultant to lead data migration and analytics for AMOS implementations, based in Allschwil with significant travel.

This position is located in the Basel office and focuses on assisting clients during the data migration phases of AMOS implementation projects. The consultant also handles data integration and analytics initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and effective system connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Assist new clients with the data migration work stream.
• Configure interfaces and provide troubleshooting support for system integration setups.
• Help customers resolve issues during data verification and interface testing.
• Create key performance indicators and contribute to data analytics projects.
• Produce and maintain documentation for data migration and integration processes.
• Advise clients on migrating legacy data into AMOS using ETL tools.
• Map data structures between legacy systems and AMOS.
• Write extraction scripts using SQL, Python, and Java.
• Evaluate, configure, and specify system interfaces.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop sub-project plans for data migration.
• Manage small data migration projects from start to finish.
• Keep tools and documentation current and relevant.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in software engineering, computer science, aviation, or air transport engineering with a strong IT focus.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with multiple scripting and programming languages.
• Understanding of database systems such as PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively, at least 50% of the time.
• EU/EFTA citizenship or a valid work permit is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with AMOS and MRO systems.
• Knowledge of the aviation industry and aircraft maintenance processes.
• Background in project management.
