This position is part of the Data Search & Analytics team, which plays a critical role in the firm's overall success by bridging Research, Trading, and Engineering functions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with trading teams to build and maintain data pipelines
- Work alongside data engineers to integrate new datasets for trading desks
- Develop data transformations that create valuable insights for investment strategies
- Create code prototypes to extract, clean, and aggregate data from various raw sources
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of onboarding new datasets
- Address data-related challenges proactively to reduce time to production
- Explore and test new data extraction techniques to improve the onboarding toolkit
Requirements
- At least three years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a comparable role
- Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field like Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Familiarity with data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
- A clear interest in financial markets and using data for analysis
- Experience handling both traditional and alternative financial datasets
- Strong communication abilities
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance setting
