Garda Capital Partners seeks a Quantitative Researcher to develop data-driven trading strategies and support investment decisions in Geneva or Zug.
This position is part of the Quantitative Investment Research team, based in either Geneva or Zug. The role focuses on creating solutions for trading and risk systems while working closely with portfolio managers and technology teams to apply analytics in live trading environments.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of data-driven trading strategies, moving from initial research and prototyping to final production implementation.
- Lead the end-to-end research process, which includes gathering and analyzing data, generating signals, conducting back-tests, and monitoring performance.
- Partner with portfolio managers and technology staff to embed quantitative research findings into investment strategies and risk management frameworks.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, financial engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, or a comparable technical field.
- Possess 1 to 4 years of professional experience in quantitative research, systematic trading, or a related area.
- Demonstrate exceptional programming abilities, specifically in Python, alongside strong quantitative skills.
- Show strong communication capabilities and the ability to work independently.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants like Claude Code or similar tools.
- Extensive knowledge of fixed income markets, with additional asset class experience being beneficial.
- A track record of intellectual curiosity and a drive to innovate and improve processes.
- Prior experience in trade execution and order management systems.
