Quant Trader (DeFi)

GSR seeks a Junior Quant Trader in Zug to manage DeFi trading strategies, focusing on risk management and opportunity identification within decentralized markets.

This position focuses on executing and refining trading activities across decentralized finance ecosystems. The trader collaborates closely with engineering and research teams to support liquidity provision, principal trading, and yield generation while maintaining strict risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize trading strategies for various decentralized protocols and venues.
• Track performance metrics, market trends, and potential risk exposures.
• Spot new trading opportunities and areas where current strategies can be enhanced.
• Assist with liquidity provisioning, principal trading, and yield-generating activities.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in market structure and protocol updates.
• Evaluate new venues and protocols for potential trading advantages.
• Provide data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions and trading directions.

Requirements

• At least one year of professional trading experience, preferably in complex or illiquid markets.
• Strong commercial judgment, risk awareness, and ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in using data to test hypotheses and improve trading outcomes.
• Coding skills, with experience using programming for data analysis or trading support.
• Interest in DeFi, crypto market structure, and on-chain trading.
• Degree in a technical or quantitative subject, or equivalent practical experience.
