Delivery Consultant - Security, Risk, and Compliance, AWS Professional Services

Amazon Switzerland seeks a Senior Delivery Consultant in Zürich to lead security, risk, and compliance initiatives for AWS customers, ensuring secure cloud adoption and operational excellence.

As a member of the global AWS Professional Services team, this role focuses on helping clients achieve their business goals through secure and scalable cloud solutions. The consultant acts as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through their cloud journey by providing technical expertise, best practices, and strategic oversight from initial design through to project completion.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy complex, secure, and scalable AWS environments tailored to specific client needs.
• Serve as a trusted security advisor to both executive leadership and technical teams within customer organizations.
• Provide ongoing technical guidance and troubleshooting support during all phases of project delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess existing infrastructure, gather requirements, and develop effective migration strategies.
• Lead implementation efforts while ensuring strict adherence to security best practices, performance optimization, and risk management.
• Champion Amazon’s security culture by maintaining the highest standards in all interactions with customers, partners, and internal teams.

Requirements

• Fluency in English is mandatory, along with professional proficiency in either German or Italian.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in security, covering at least two areas from: Cloud Security, Application Security (including SDLC, threat modeling, and code review), Identity & Access Management, Network Security, Data Protection, or Incident Response.
• Proven ability to implement enterprise-grade security solutions such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
• Solid understanding of core AWS services, including EC2, ELB, RDS, Route 53, and S3.
• Experience deploying AWS services across diverse distributed computing environments.

• Background in IT implementation projects.
• Technical expertise in designing and implementing cloud computing technologies.
• Experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale.
• Hands-on background in technology infrastructure, including network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
