Amazon Switzerland seeks a Senior Delivery Consultant for its AWS Professional Services team in Zürich. The role focuses on designing secure cloud solutions and advising customers on security, risk, and compliance.

This senior position sits within the AWS Professional Services group, where the consultant acts as a trusted advisor to clients. The primary purpose is to guide customers through the design, implementation, and management of their AWS environments, dedicating the majority of the workweek to direct customer engagement and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Architecting and deploying complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions that meet specific client requirements.
• Offering technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance during all phases of project execution.
• Acting as a security advisor to both executive leadership and technical teams within client organizations.
• Championing Amazon’s security culture and ensuring adherence to rigorous security standards.
• Managing complex projects and overseeing stakeholder relationships.
• Overseeing secure operations for large teams across various project workstreams.
• Analyzing current infrastructure, gathering requirements, and developing migration strategies to AWS.
• Advising clients on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative security solutions.
• Leading implementation efforts to ensure best practices are followed, performance is optimized, and risks are managed.

Requirements

• Proven experience with cloud-based solutions (such as AWS or similar platforms), including system, network, and operating system knowledge.
• At least five years of hands-on security experience in two or more areas: Cloud Security, Application Security, Identity & Access Management, Network Security, Data Protection, or Incident Response.
• Practical experience deploying enterprise security tools, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP.
• Prior involvement in complex cloud transformation initiatives.
• Ability to think strategically and make decisions in ambiguous or evolving environments.
