VAT Vakuumventile AG seeks a Senior Demand Planner in Haag, CH to lead forecasting processes, drive cross-functional consensus, and integrate digital tools for improved supply chain planning.

The company is looking for a Senior Demand Planner to take ownership of the monthly forecasting cycle. This role bridges business operations and technical teams, ensuring accurate demand predictions that support strategic planning and help manage market volatility through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end monthly demand planning cycle by gathering inputs from sales teams, order books, lifecycle data, and customer forecasts.
  • Lead forecasting sessions with various Business Units and Sales Organizations to align on targets and participate in S&OP reviews.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy to pinpoint the reasons behind deviations and convert findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Enhance data quality and incorporate market intelligence alongside advanced forecasting methods to refine the planning process.
  • Partner with technical staff to improve data standards, define KPIs, and support the adoption of new digital solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a similar quantitative discipline.
  • At least three years of professional experience in demand planning, supply chain coordination, or a data-intensive business function.
  • Practical background in baseline forecasting, demand planning workflows, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively and communicate complex data insights clearly.
  • Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience or a strong interest in AI-driven forecasting, machine learning in supply chains, or predictive analytics.
  • Knowledge of modern data stacks and visualization platforms like PowerBI or Tableau, or experience with Python-based prototypes.
  • Background in integrating external market intelligence or macroeconomic trends into internal forecasts.
  • German language skills are considered an advantage.
