EMEA Indirect Tax Senior Specialist

VF International seeks a Senior EMEA Indirect Tax Specialist in Stabio to manage VAT compliance, optimize processes, and support tax accounting across the region.

This position is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of VAT compliance across multiple EMEA countries. The role serves as a central coordination point between external advisors, shared service teams, and the internal tax department, while driving process optimization and automation within the tax function.

Responsibilities

• Manage VAT return workflows with external advisors, ensuring data accuracy and timely submissions.
• Supervise VAT activities handled by shared service or BPO teams, including reconciliations and payment processing.
• Analyze VAT data and monthly reconciliations to verify completeness and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with tax accounting tasks during month-end and year-end closing, including data preparation.
• Monitor compliance risks, maintain thorough documentation, and ensure a robust audit trail.
• Identify and implement improvements to standardize and automate tax processes.
• Partner with Finance, Controllership, and AP/AR teams to enhance end-to-end VAT workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Tax.
• Solid understanding of VAT principles.
• Minimum of three years of experience in VAT, accounting, or financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
