Analyst, EMEA Internal Controls

VF International seeks a Mid-level Analyst to manage EMEA internal controls and SOX compliance. This onsite role in Stabio involves testing, documentation, and auditor coordination.

Reporting to the Senior Manager for Internal Controls EMEA, this position is central to the VF SOX program. The role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating organizational risks while ensuring rigorous compliance standards are met across the region.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-annual testing of internal controls over financial reporting, covering both business process and IT application controls.
• Identify and report preliminary issues or control deficiencies found during testing, and help with their initial assessment.
• Work with control owners to drive remediation efforts and monitor the progress of action plans.
• Keep process, risk, and control documentation current and aligned with SOX mandates.
• Assist in coordinating with external auditors and facilitating SOX audit processes.
• Participate in initiatives aimed at standardizing, automating, and improving efficiency within the control framework.
• Apply and deepen understanding of SOX compliance requirements during walkthroughs and testing cycles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in a Big 4 firm or corporate environment, with direct exposure to SOX-compliant clients or operations.
• Solid understanding of SOX regulations, particularly regarding walkthrough and testing phases.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and international teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• High integrity, accountability, and a strong willingness to learn.

• Progress toward professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA.
