Alstom seeks a VIE Financial Controller intern in Zürich to support financial reporting, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration within a stable, innovative mobility company.
This Volontariat International en Entreprise (VIE) role is based at the Zurich site and aims to enhance financial performance through precise reporting, analysis, and adherence to internal protocols. The position requires working closely with R&D, Tender, and CAPEX teams to ensure accurate data flow and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control expenses in line with internal regulations.
- Coordinate with R&D, Sustaining, and Tender Program Managers to manage budget allocations.
- Prepare and support financial presentations for functional reviews.
- Assist with month-end closing tasks and ensure reports are submitted on time.
- Analyze deviations and alerts to offer practical recommendations.
- Supply reliable data for budgeting activities.
- Handle foreign exchange hedging relationships and report on FX exposure.
- Support the Site Controller during monthly business reviews.
Requirements
- A degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Prior experience in accounting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Strong proficiency in SAP (FI/CO/PS) and MS Office.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Meeting all eligibility criteria for the VIE program.
