ABB is seeking a part-time Finance Intern in Zürich to support the Distribution Solution team. The role involves SAP Analytics Cloud implementation, annual planning, and data quality initiatives within a hybrid work model.
This internship provides practical experience within ABB’s global technology and industrial operations. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the intern contributes to the Finance Team in the Distribution Solution area of the Electrification Business Area, supporting key financial activities and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the rollout, testing, and validation of the new SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) 5QRF reporting environment, including documentation and user support.
- Help coordinate the Annual Planning Process (APP) by gathering data, performing analysis, and supporting planning activities across global business units.
- Test and validate CFIN reports and dashboards to ensure data accuracy and improve reporting effectiveness.
- Support CFIN master data management tasks, such as setup, harmonization, and cleanup to enhance data quality.
- Contribute to the Clean Sales Order Project by analyzing data quality, investigating root causes, tracking KPIs, and supporting process improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different countries on assignments with defined KPIs, gaining exposure to diverse business processes.
- Complete assigned tasks and projects within the internship timeframe while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in formal training programs to develop finance, analytical, digital, and leadership capabilities.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in corporate finance, financial analysis, controlling, and business performance management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience handling large datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information clearly.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Power BI, SAP, or other financial reporting and analytics tools.
- A passion for learning, continuous improvement, and working in a multicultural environment.
