Finance Intern - (6 months)

Finance Intern at Batgroup in Lausanne, CH. This 6-month full-time onsite role supports daily financial operations, month-end closing, and analysis under the guidance of the Finance Manager and Accountants.

This internship connects academic study with practical corporate finance experience. The intern collaborates closely with Accountants and the Finance Manager, gaining direct exposure to daily financial operations, month-end closing procedures, and financial analysis tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the finance team with daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties, such as data entry, invoice verification, and employee expense processing.
• Conduct weekly and monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and platforms to verify data precision.
• Assist with month-end closing by preparing standard journal entries and collecting required documentation.
• Maintain accurate financial databases and prepare data for management reports, KPI tracking, and ad-hoc analysis using Excel.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and help draft documentation for internal finance procedures.
• Provide administrative support to the Finance department, including organizing financial files for audit readiness.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and basic formulas.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
• Fluency in French and English is required (both written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Previous exposure to accounting software or ERPs.
• A working knowledge of German.
