Skyguide seeks a Finance Intern for a 12-month hybrid role in Geneva. The position supports accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement within the Finance department.
This internship is situated within the Finance department, where the candidate reports to the Accounting Manager and works under the guidance of senior accountants. The primary objective is to gain hands-on experience with core accounting and financial reporting procedures while actively contributing to efforts that enhance operational efficiency and data quality. The daily workload blends routine periodic closing tasks with smaller, year-long projects designed to monitor and refine specific business processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with General Ledger accounting tasks, including cash application, analysis of automated accruals, and posting entries in SAP.
- Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Record and reconcile prepaid expenses to ensure accuracy.
- Support the creation of periodic financial reporting packages, including financial statements and analytical schedules.
- Conduct analysis on the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process during the rollout of new SAP functionalities.
- Provide support to the treasury back-office operations.
- Redesign monthly closing reconciliations according to Accounting Manager requirements and lead their implementation, including organizing training sessions and monitoring quality.
- Review and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Internal Control System documentation.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
- Fluent proficiency in both English and French.
Nice to have
- Prior professional work experience is considered an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of the German language is a plus.
