ABB is offering an internship in Procurement based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, for students pursuing degrees in economics, engineering, or information systems. The role involves supporting sourcing, benchmarking, and process optimization, with a focus on eProcurement tools and supplier management.
This internship provides vocational experience within ABB’s Procurement team in Schaffhausen, supporting the Electrification Division. The position is temporary and designed to contribute to procurement operations through hands-on tasks and project support.
Responsibilities
- Handle sub-projects related to sourcing and benchmarking efforts
- Assist the local Power User with eProcurement tools
- Support initiatives to improve procurement processes
- Track and report on price trends and market intelligence
- Perform master data corrections and manage documentation
- Manage communication with external suppliers and monitor KPIs
- Coordinate and prepare for supplier visits and audits
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in economics, engineering, information systems, or a related field, with initial supply chain experience
- Fluent in both German and English
- Proficient in using MS Excel for data handling
- Strong communication skills, self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Demonstrates curiosity and initiative
- Must hold a valid visa or work permit for Switzerland, or have university confirmation for a mandatory internship
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SAP systems is advantageous
