Corporate M&A Analyst

ABB seeks a Junior Corporate M&A Analyst in Zürich to support the Corporate Strategy and M&A team with deal execution, pipeline management, and strategic governance.

This position sits within the Corporate Strategy and M&A team based in Zurich, reporting directly to the Vice President of Corporate M&A. It is designed for early-career professionals who wish to contribute to corporate strategy, portfolio development, and inorganic transactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rolling out a prioritization tool for bolt-on acquisitions.
• Help implement the group-wide M&A governance framework.
• Manage the deal opportunity pipeline and collaborate with Business Area and Division Strategy teams to spot acquisition targets and divestment options.
• Monitor and report on M&A pipeline metrics and deal economics, supporting the deployment of a unified platform for tracking opportunity and deal status.
• Provide visibility into functional M&A resource loading, availability, and allocation.
• Support deal execution activities and prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of M&A market trends, competitor moves, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or a comparable area.
• Solid understanding of financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation capabilities.
• Eligibility for a Swiss work permit is mandatory.
