Forex Exposure & Special Projects Lead (f/m/d)

ABB Power Grids seeks a Senior Forex Exposure & Special Projects Lead in Zürich to oversee global FX reporting, treasury governance, and strategic finance initiatives.

The company is looking for an experienced professional to direct global foreign exchange and commodity exposure reporting while strengthening financial risk governance. This role supports complex corporate finance activities, including funding strategies, capital structure management, and transactional support within an international business environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and refine global standards for reporting FX and commodity exposures.
• Align reporting frameworks and governance structures across Treasury, Finance, and Global Business Units.
• Update reporting processes to comply with internal policies and financial risk management standards.
• Assist with strategic projects involving hedging strategies, multi-currency cash flow planning, and treasury risk.
• Utilize S/4HANA, Treasury Management Systems, and other reporting tools to track exposures effectively.
• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to treasury best practices.
• Create reporting dashboards, define KPIs, and develop training materials for global stakeholders.
• Participate in strategic corporate finance efforts, such as funding projects and M&A activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Treasury, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in Treasury, Financial Risk Management, Corporate Finance, or similar fields.
• Deep understanding of FX exposure management, hedging instruments, commodity risk, liquidity, and treasury governance.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and treasury systems, particularly S/4HANA and Treasury Management Systems.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Professional certification in treasury or finance, such as ACT, CTP, or CFA.
• Ability to communicate in additional languages beyond English.
