Senior Specialist - Finance Systems

On seeks a Senior Specialist for Finance Systems in Zürich to bridge finance and IT, managing ERP improvements and system stability for a rapidly expanding global sports brand.

This position sits within a growing finance team at a high-velocity sports company. The specialist serves as the primary liaison between finance operations and other departments, ensuring that system enhancements align with business needs and that technical solutions are effectively implemented.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of finance system improvements and act as the central contact for these initiatives.
• Work with global IT teams and finance process owners to prioritize and manage improvement requests.
• Translate business requirements into test cases to verify that development outcomes meet expectations.
• Track daily reported issues and monitor key performance indicators to ensure timely resolutions.
• Coordinate system testing efforts alongside business stakeholders.
• Manage the rollout of system version upgrades as the primary finance department representative.
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system issues or develop effective workarounds.
• Analyze root causes of problematic areas to facilitate better communication and collaboration between finance and other teams.

Requirements

• A strong academic background in business administration, information technology, or a related discipline.
• At least two years of professional experience in ERP support or as a key user.
• Solid understanding of standard finance department processes.
• Fluent proficiency in both spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with global ERP solutions, particularly D365 F&O or earlier iterations.
• A proactive approach to solving business challenges by leveraging available AI tools.
