Facilities Management Lead

The company seeks a Facilities Management Lead in Basel to oversee regional FM operations, manage third-party providers, and drive strategic improvements in quality and cost efficiency.

In this role, the successful candidate will direct the regional Facilities Management team and oversee external service providers. The position focuses on ensuring operational continuity, adhering to budget constraints, and developing strategies that enhance service quality, productivity, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Direct the regional Facilities Management team and oversee external service providers to ensure adherence to baseline budgets and operational continuity.
• Develop and execute innovative short- and long-term business strategies to enhance quality, productivity, customer service, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Design & Construction Management team to align on capital expenditure plans before project execution.
• Partner with Procurement, HSE, and QA teams to evaluate new suppliers and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all contracted vendors.
• Manage third-party contracts effectively, including monitoring performance indicators and taking corrective actions when necessary.
• Consistently demonstrate company values in daily operations.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in facility management or maintenance environments.
• Strong financial skills, including budgeting, capital planning, and maintenance oversight.
• Extensive experience in pharmaceutical facility operations.
• Deep knowledge of facility, building, and utility operations, along with an understanding of corporate, strategic, and regulatory perspectives in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills without formal authority.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity in evolving environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
