Head Facility Management

SKAN AG seeks a Head of Facility Management in Allschwil to lead technical infrastructure, team operations, and strategic development across Swiss sites.

This position provides overall responsibility for the operation, management, and strategic development of facilities and technical infrastructure across the company's Swiss locations. The role ensures regulatory compliance and operational readiness of all measuring and testing equipment, filling a vacancy created by an upcoming retirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and disciplinary leadership for a team of 11 direct reports across Facility Management and Equipment Calibration departments.
• Assume overall responsibility for technical and infrastructure-related facility management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments, staff functions, external partners, and suppliers.
• Ensure the availability, compliance, and cost-effective utilization of all measuring and testing equipment.
• Manage budgets for both departments and oversee operational multi-year planning.
• Conduct regular facility inspections, identify maintenance requirements, and monitor warranty claims.
• Plan, tender, award, supervise, accept, and settle maintenance and repair projects.
• Communicate and coordinate with tenants, property owners, and external service providers.
• Ensure that building safety documentation and emergency response procedures remain up to date.
• Organize and continuously optimize operational processes and workflows.
• Oversee and coordinate social service programs in close collaboration with Human Resources.

Requirements

• Completed technical or administrative vocational training or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in facility and building management.
• Experience leading and managing teams.
• Knowledge of project and contract management.
• Business-level proficiency in German and English (minimum B2).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
