Field Service Air Defense Systems Technician (m/f/d)

Nyffenegger Storenfabrik AG seeks a Field Service Air Defense Systems Technician (m/f/d) in Zürich, CH, for a full-time hybrid role. The position involves on-site technical support, maintenance, and training for air defense systems, with international assignments and collaboration with headquarters in Switzerland.

This role combines technical expertise with international fieldwork and a high degree of autonomy, supporting customers directly at deployment sites while maintaining close communication with the Swiss headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support at customer sites during deployment
• Carry out maintenance and repair tasks on air defense systems
• Conduct fault analysis and perform repairs on-site in coordination with customers
• Offer technical training and support to customer operating staff
• Collaborate closely with headquarters in Switzerland to report customer needs, system observations, and improvement suggestions
• Document all technical work and enter data into the central support system
• Utilize augmented reality and virtual reality tools for remote diagnostics and support

Requirements

• Completed technical vocational training as a mechanic or electronics technician (m/f/d) or equivalent qualification
• Valid Category B driving licence
• Very good written and spoken English

Nice to have

• Several years of professional experience in a technical field
• Military background in air defense, such as experience as a gunner or radar specialist (m/f/d)
• Strong analytical abilities and comfort working independently in international settings
• Ability to handle pressure, flexibility, and dedication for long-term assignments abroad
