Technician for service assignments

SKAN AG seeks a mid-level service technician for installing and commissioning laboratory systems across Bern, Lausanne, and Valais. The role requires strong German skills and technical training.

This position places a service and commissioning technician within a dynamic team, focusing on the professional installation and startup of laboratory workbenches and cleanroom systems. The technician will cover service regions including Bern, Lausanne, and Valais, ensuring systems meet strict operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning new laboratory systems.
• Performing maintenance, repairs, and relocations of existing equipment at client sites.
• Conducting room decontamination procedures.
• Qualifying cleanrooms, cleanroom systems, and laboratory equipment.
• Advising and supporting clients in the laboratory technology sector.
• Executing on-site qualification tasks for various systems.

Requirements

• Completed technical vocational training in fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, HVAC, or building services.
• Very good proficiency in German is mandatory.
• A valid Category B driver’s license.
• Solid skills in using MS Office applications.

Nice to have

• Several years of experience as a service technician or in technical field service.
• Background in GMP environments, including calibration and system qualification.
• French language skills, which are advantageous for assignments in the Lausanne region.
• Residence in the area between Bern, Lausanne, and Valais.
