Finance Analytics Engineer

Roger Dubuis seeks a Finance Analytics Engineer to bridge business needs and data solutions within its FP&A organization, focusing on GCP/Looker migration and dashboard development.

This position serves as a critical link between the Group Business Analytics team and the Finance Data domain, translating strategic financial requirements into robust data models. Embedded within a high-impact unit, the engineer collaborates closely with FP&A leadership and the Group Data Office to drive the adoption of new data platforms and ensure accurate, accessible reporting assets.

Responsibilities

• Define data requirements and quality standards for the migration to GCP and Looker within the FP&A function.
• Serve as the main point of contact between Group Business Analytics and the Finance Data domain lead.
• Create, test, and maintain Looker dashboards and underlying data models to support financial reporting and insights.
• Promote the new data platform among Central Group Finance staff by delivering training and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with upstream teams to identify and resolve data gaps, ensuring the accuracy and availability of data assets.
• Upskill colleagues within the Business Analytics team to ensure effective operation within the new technology stack.
• Participate in the design and continuous enhancement of the team’s reporting infrastructure.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• At least five years of professional experience in analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence, preferably within a finance environment.
• Strong practical skills in SQL and BigQuery.
• Demonstrated ability to convert business needs into functional data models, dashboards, or analytical tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial processes, reporting cycles, and key performance indicators.
• Prior involvement in data migration initiatives or platform transformation projects.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Strong experience with Looker, including LookML development.
• Ability to communicate in French.
